Almost all of the colleges I am interested in require SAT subject tests and I am unsure what tests I should take (some of the colleges require 3). I am currently a junior in high school, and I perform well in most subjects. So, which SAT subject tests do most colleges prefer?

Usually one science, one math, and one choice, usually a humanities if you’re going for a science major. Not sure what you want to do. Do subjects that you naturally excel in, that’s the best advice.

Thank you that helps a lot, the counselors at my school didn’t really know. Do you think colleges would prefer World History or Spanish?

I don’t think there’s much of a preference. Some colleges have a one semester language course requirement, so Spanish might look good…but I heard that one is really hard.

The only reason I would tell you not to take Spanish would be if you are a native speaker. If not then taking both won’t kill you

Well, I’m not a native speaker and my average for every year I’ve taken Spanish has been an A+ but I’m not sure how I’d do on a standardized test like the SAT 2. I’ve always made good grades in history and my freshman year I took world then my sophomore AP Euro. Should I just take both tests and see which I do better in?

Nothing wrong with taking two history tests (US and World) and seeing which of the two gives you a better score. I wouldn’t submit two history scores, through. You want to show some range in your academic achievement.

Take practice tests, whatever you do better in is the one you should go ahead with.
