Depends on what you’re applying for. Are you applying for something Science intensive? If you apply to a college that superscores then you have a 35, so submit both.
I want to major in mechanical engineering but some of the colleges I’m looking at don’t super score
I think the science is a misnomer and given the choice with mecheng, pick your best math. the 34 math score is much better than 31.
If allowed, I’d send both.
Since the colleges will either superscore (some do so with ACT) or use that test they believe is the better for you in determining admisison, you should consider sending both. Many colleges consider the math and English scores the more important ones. Some colleges, including two engineering colleges, Georgia Tech and Rose Hulman, do not even use the science and reading scores to determine admission.
@drusba - Georgia Tech considers all sections of the ACT. Georgia Tech superscores and consider the highest section score on English, Math, Reading & Science. http://admission.gatech.edu/freshman/standardized-tests
I think the second one is better because all of the individual section scores are in the 30s so it looks much stronger. If it were me, I would only send the second test score. Good luck!
agree with @chicagocubs
the balance of the second set is strong, if you do well on the SAT subject test in Math 2 and a Science, you could make up for the 31 in math.
