Which ACT scores should I send?

I would appreciate any feedback on which test I should send to colleges.

Thanks.

What’s wrong with sending all three? I’ve read that in some schools they consider your best score in each section. Although some consider three attempts as “too many,” I see nothing wrong with trying to improve your score, and I doubt colleges do.

I think it costs for each ACT sent (unlike the SAT). I don’t think it matters much. Depending on what you want to study (humanities, math or science), you could pick the one that puts you in the best light.

Might depend on your intended major.

I’d pick the one that is strongest in the area where your grades are the weakest. Failing that, send the most recent one.

I’d send the first and second set. You have a sizable difference in the scores, and someone may take notice. (I’ve never seen such a gap in science scores.) If they super-score, even unofficially, you’ll look much better than a 29 composite. You might even make this point in your essay, if you can tie it in without making it sound like a excuse.

Don’t send the third set because it tends to confirm that some of the high scores were a fluke.

You should see if the colleges you’re applying to superscores the ACT. Because some do! :)
