I love that you mentioned this because right when I read that word I thought “Did this person really just use that?”</p>
<p>Anyway, take the AP classes that will be useful to you. It’s not going to help you to take every AP test that is offered. If you are leaning towards a certain major or even just a certain area (technical, music, humanities), then take classes that you know will help you get credit that will be useful. For example, if you want to go into math, then make sure to take AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics, but it has to be the actual classes definitely NOT self-studied. If you want to take some humanities/social science classes (the history APs, language APs, english APs) just to get some credit for gen eds, then it really doesn’t matter if you self-study or take the class (except for if that is what you intend to major in, then take the class).</p>
<p>I’m in college now, but in high school I took 14 different AP tests. To be honest, it wasn’t worth taking them all, and it would have been better to enjoy high school.</p>
