Because my school is extremely IB oriented, they discontinued both AP English classes. However, the college I wish to attend does not take IB English credit.
I love IB. I have truly learned so much and it makes me sad I will not get credit for such a wonderful experience. For those unaware, IB English is a 2-year program for the duration of junior and senior year. At my school, 11th grade is dedicated to language in regard to culture and mass media, using a variety of fiction and nonfiction literature. However, 12th grade is geared more towards literature, especially fiction novels, plays, and poetry.
Would I be more prepared for the AP English Lang or AP English Lit? I will obviously study for which ever one I choose, but I do not want to be ill-prepared
