Hi. I am a prospective student looking at colleges. I want to become a journalist/author/writer (whatever you want to call it). Which Rutgers campus would best suit me? What’s different about each campus? Please give me some information.
Thank you!

Camden and Newark are branch/regional campuses and commuter campuses. It is easier to get into those campuses than New Brunswick.
are you asking about the campuses within NB?
no, I mean nb Newark and Camden
I’m not sure which type of campus would be more conducive to writing. Camden and Newark are in an urban Intercity environment whereas NB has more of a campus feel. I’m really not sure what you are asking. Can you clarify?
Camden is one of the worst cities in the entire country. Poverty, crime. drugs, block after block of abandoned properties. Newark is the largest city in NJ. It also has its problems with poverty, drugs and crimes. I’m 100% confident that there are better choices out there for you. Good Luck
qclabrat i mean like for internships and job opportunities and for being in a location where there is a lot going on. A campus newspaper is also important.
mostly likely NB, it’s the best ranked campus and lots of local companies recruit there. Also the Honors college brings in another level. They also have a very popular school paper as well. Good luck with your selection.
The Rutgers student newspaper may be on it’s last legs due to funding issues

Isn’t that just for print? I couldn’t imagine that the Targum would completely disappear
it’ll probably survive online, but I did the math and the amount of money that the paper is losing insane. It’s a shame, but they will probably lose their print version. But they could create an app or something instead. Journalism is very unstable but exciting.
