I plan on majoring in the business field. Which of the following colleges would u recommend? Based on not only academic qualities but also campus life, dorms/suites/apts, safety, tuition, surroundings, etc.

My choices are:
SUNY Binghamton
SUNY Stonybrook
SUNY Albany
Penn State: Altoona
Northeastern University
Baruch College
^I didn't get into CUNY Honors for Baruch but they gave me some incentive award.. that's like a $1250 scholarship each year and they said that I can reapply for honors next year.

or.. St. Johns
^My tuition fee is basically covered but I heard that it's only good for pharmacy.. and really horrible for business?

I'm sort of leaning towards Binghamton or Baruch. Which one of these (or from the list above) should I pick??

Northeastern has the best location out of the schools you listed. Boston is a really cool city.

I terms of rankings, Northeastern is ranked #13 for international business by U.S. News and ranked #4 in entreprenuership by Forbes. Then there is the #1 rated co-op program which is amazing.

Bauch's reputation is up and coming-but no campus life, as leobag points out.
If you love NYC and are comfortable living there--a good choice.
Binghamton has a good academic rep but depressing campus and surroundings

Northeastern may be the best social choice with co-op advantage.

Parents are reporting that NEU has really impressed them. Fun, clean, not as city-dominated as one might think. Of your choices, and if the money is there, I think I would want to go there for the full college experience. Check out these mini reviews:

PSU is the best of the bunch if you can get into Smeal. I wouldnt personally go there though because almost everyone from my HS goes there.

I'd have to disagree about parents loving NEU. I visited last week with my parents and they hated it. The new buildings are nice, but seem out of place. The students from what i could perceive seemed very very dumb. IMO i felt as if NEU was a second choice school for those who couldnt get into BU, or were just offered money at NEU.

"The students from what i could perceive seemed very very dumb."

Your comment is a bit offensive, don't you think? Did you meet all 14,000 undergrads? Maybe the few students that you did get to meet felt the same about you. You do seem a bit full of yourself. Anyway, the average GPA/SAT for BU and Northeastern are now about the same. Northeastern also has a lower acceptance rate than BU. I think its safe to say that NEU is no longer a second choice school to BU. If anything, it's starting to go the other way. Don't get me wrong, BU is a fine school, but IMO, Northeastern is better in some areas and has more of a campus than BU.

no, it's not.

I looked up the common data sets from these two schools. BU only reports their mean SAT scores, and Northeastern reports 25/75 percentiles:

BU:
V mean: 629
M mean: 649

Northeastern:
V 25/75: 560 - 650
M 25/75: 580 - 670

If you assumed the scores to be evenly spaced in that range, the NEU means would be slightly lower than BU's, but not a whole lot.

I would do a Northeastern vs Bing campus visit and see which you like better. The environments are different (especially at co-ops) so see whether or not you like such opportunities.
