Which college should I choose?

Hi all,
I am planning to apply to UCSD and I’m currently deciding on how to rank the colleges. If I get accepted and attend, I will commute, so I don’t really care about the dorm/dining hall/location aspect of the college. What I really care about is the GE’s, and although I’ve read about them on the website, I still want some advice on how to rank the colleges as it pertains to my intended major/professional goals.
I’m planning on majoring in history, but I will also be a premed student (I want to attend medical school and become a pediatrician). I understand the prereqs I’ll need to be a premed don’t really overlap with a history major but I’m very good at history and really enjoy it, and now I can keep a high GPA with it as a major.
So my question is, what college has GE’s with sciences (bio, chem) that will allow me to finish med school prereqs at the same time as my GE’s along with humanities/history courses that overlap with my major?
Currently the only ranking I have is 1 for Muir (because of the flexibility and low number of GE requirements) and 6 for Warren because I’ve heard it’s targeted for engineers.
Thank you in advance!

I am personally a Molecular Biology major in Revelle (class of 2020). I feel like revelle would be the best for you because their GE requirements will give you a chance to complete the med school prereqs. Revelle makes you take very stem related GE’s (calc, bio, chem, ect.) this will allow you to take these classes and have them count towards something, not just a bunch of random electives. Revelle also forces you to take 2 social science classes, so that will be covered by your major.

Have you thought about majoring in a science and minoring in History? There are many students majoring in science at UCSD and I believe they get first dibs in registering for science classes. Also, you might look into whether medical schools look at your overall GPA or your GPA in their required classes.

@Dawg619 Thank you for the advice! I will definitely place Revelle near the top then.
@lkg4answers Thanks for the advice as well, I have considered it but frankly I know if I get accepted to med school I’ll never have a chance to study history again so I really want to do that in college. I do plan on taking summer classes so that may help with the registering issues I may face. Typically, I’ve heard med schools look at prereq GPA separately than your “actual” GPA and evaluate your application based on both of these–I could be wrong though.
