Which college would you choose?

Help, I literally need to decide by the end of this week between San Diego State University and the University of Arizona. Both schools allowed me an extension, so I need to decide as soon as possible. There are allot of similarities between the two. I want to major in business or entrepreneurship.

Heres the Run down:
-Both have nice weather
-Both have top entrepreneurship programs
-Both have division 1 sports teams
-Lets face it they both party

SDSU:
-Near a city
-60% female
-Higher chance of internships with local businesses
-Beaches
-Diverse

UA:
-School Spirit
-Larger Campus
-Campus town feel
-Possibly more prestigious of the 2
-Pac 10

Thank you!!!

“nice weather”

hahahahahaha. My apush teacher told us a story about when he was going to school in arizona… he hopped on his motorcycle and the seat literally melted on to his pants… he had to wait until nightfall to go home, so he was stuck at a state park all day XD

San Diego’s weather is a million times better than anywhere in Arizona. People from Arizona find San Diego cold.

Also, UA is higher ranked but people in California usually think SDSU is as good as UA, so unless you really want a job in Arizona…

I would choose SDSU.

SDSU! California all the way.

Also “Higher chance of internships with local businesses” from SDSU. Work experience is more important than prestige.

Arizona, no contest.

In all honesty though, my mom attended uofa and she liked it a lot, for what’s that worth.

I would choose U of A. I’ve heard great things about it and I would have to say it has the better reputation nationwide.

I’d choose SDSU. I loveee California!

I applied to both (last year). Didn’t end up attending either, but here are my thoughts.

SDSU: Great weather, great city, great beaches, great parties. Mediocre-education (heard they have lots of problems with class sizes and that many students don’t end up graduating in 4 years because of either too much partying or too hard to fit in classes).

University of Arizona: hot weather, nice college town, div. I sports teams (that are a lot more respectable than SDSU’s), more school spirit, better education and rankings(depending on program).

It really comes down to a more traditional rah-rah sports/campus town vs. beaches. Both have very warm weather and an abundance of parties (and comparable academics, although U of A is a little bit better when it comes to that as well). If I were you I would go for U of Arizona. Better college sports and a traditional college town is just too awesome of an atmosphere to pass up! And Arizona is still relatively close to beaches and Mexico.

UA for better sports scene and school spirit.

I don’t think you will go wrong with either but if it were me (and i was coming from WA), I would go to SDSU. Arizona may be more like your typical college, but San Diego is a way better city than Tuscon and weather is much more temperate. face it, AZ is hot - way too hot for me.

UA is a more respectable school, so I’d choose it. You don’t need an all out party school to attend great parties, especially when considering a large state school.

How competitive do you consider yourself academically?

U of A is the state flagship university in Arizona, so it will have a fair number of extremely talented and hard-working students and classes to accommodate those students. SDSU also has some smart students but not the cream of the crop because those students flock into the UC system. Just something to keep in mind.

Academically I would pick the University of Arizona, though I have to admit that San Diego looks like the better place to live. Although… I might be wrong, but aren’t the “safe” areas of San Diego extremely expensive to live in?

University of Arizona.

I wouldn’t bother going to San Diego unless I was attending UCSD.

i would go with the university of arizona as well.

San Diego is the better location, but SDSU is more of a commuter school. And a lot of employers know of its party rep as opposed to lesser-so UA.

haha sdsu with its massive drug bust a couple years ago

I’d pick San Diego.
