Hello everyone ! I am rushing to find out which college I would like to apply to for nursing! So far, near my area there is only csusb! I do not want to attend any community colleges, and would not like to go so far from home. Is there any more close ones near me? Thanks!

CSULB or CSUF are both great for nursing, but those are a little further.

Hello ! Thanks for the reply. Those are pretty far. I’m trying to live at home and attend college. I also forgot to state my zipcode is 92316!

I know you said you want to avoid the community college route, but if you want to stay home and attend college, I would recommend doing just that. It sounds like you’re a practical person, and you want to avoid exorbitant college costs. If you go to a community college and use “rate my professors dot com” to your full advantage, you can still get a high quality education for your first two years at a bargain price.

Just make sure you follow the guidelines posted here: [Department of Nursing](http://nursing.csusb.edu/transferring_student.htm), and use assist.org to find equivalent courses at your local CC to meet the course requirements posted by the CSUSB Nursing Program at the bottom of their page.

As far as the “college experience” and getting involved goes, there should be a number of clubs at your local CC to choose from. It may sound like you would be missing a lot by attending a CC, but trust me, you won’t.
