<p>I know that many schools allow applicants to submit video/photo supplements showing achievement in visual and performing arts. But I recently found out that MIT also allows 'maker' supplements - basically, anything you've done by yourself, like engineering projects or computer programs. This works pretty well for me because I do have a program that I've been working on for a research project, and I think it's a nice addition to my app. My question is, unless colleges actually specify that 'maker' supplements are allowed, should I assume that they want supplements ONLY in visual and performing arts? So far, MIT is the only school I've found that allows this, and I'd prefer to send my program to other schools, if they allow it.</p>
