We have been using the link below for IB perks. Does anyone have additional insight on IB for USA colleges? I would guess our daughter has a projected 42 for IB. We are American citizens and EU residents looking for medium to large, public or private with a campus feel (not super urban,) merit for IB if possible. Thanks in advance,
First…What is your budget per year for college?
Then…any regional preferences/limitations? What major? Test scores?
Union (ny) may be smaller than you are looking for bit they give good merit and a year of placement (after successful completion of freshman year) to IBD holders. The latter is not uncommon (and generally not used), but for some, especially those on a longer educational trajectory, that’s interesting. And it saves a lot in tuition.
Florida universities give a lot of credit for IB scores, SUNY Binghamton, UNebraska Lincoln.
$25k per year max for 4 years (taking full advantage of IB credits could lower to 3 years.) Undecided, leaning political science and she would like to minor in psychology. She prefers East Coast between New England and North Carolina. 1420 SAT taking again October 2.
Lawrence is very generous with credit for IB classes.
I think a lot of schools give credit for IB classes. I thought OP was asking about merit money. Nebraska is one that has an IB scholarship.
