which colleges have same policy to transfer/freshman applicants as amherst?

Amherst wrote me that they dont care whether i was enrolled in university or not.it was my choice-to apply as freshman or transfer!

No other colleges i contacted, told me the same.

Maybe u know such kind of colleges?

Well sure. They want you to apply if you’re interested. But that doesn’t mean that your chances are equal as a transfer applicant versus being a freshman applicant. They can be vastly different.

For example: Yale roughly admits 7% of applicants for freshmen. They admit 2% of transfer applicants – a 350% difference.

man,can u read correctly?

i found several times when u misinterpreted information.

I know that freshman versus transfer application has totally different application rates.

I asked: which colleges allow me to send application as freshman, when i was enrolled in different college?

Actually no, you are talking about a knowledgeable and extremely helpful member of CC.

Not you didn’t, you said:

Which I also found very difficult to determine what you were asking. I couldn’t tell if you were thinking of taking a gap year or attending another college from your statement.

This is what Amherst’s website says:

All schools have definitions about who they consider a fr vs. a transfer applicant, and these definitions vary widely.

entomom

So,please answer if u know the answer.

do you know some other colleges who dont care about ur previous enrollment in university, and allow to send application as freshman? :)

In other words, you need to go to school websites to see what their policy is. Definitions of who is considered a transfer applicant range from having taken 1 post-HS college course to less than a year as a full time college student.

Yes,i have visited a lot of colleges websites and wrote them my situation.
