I am a Senior right now. I have a 2.6 gpa. 1180 SAT. I want to go to Azusa Pacific but if I don't get in il go to Commhnity college. I want to become a nurse. So which community college is good for me? I know about Pasadena and Glendale. Which is better? How is their campus. Anything bad about them? How are the classes and parking. How are the people there? Please tell me all the info you know. Thank you!

Do any of them train RNs? Pick the one with the better health program. Do a google search yourself.

Also, becoming an RN is extremely difficult. You have to work your butt off and most people don’t make it. Have you considered becoming an EMT? Even that itself is extremely difficult despite being only 120-240 hours of classes.

I think both do. I’m willing to work hard. I really want this. I just want to know which community college is better

Only concern is… because of the competitiveness of most RN programs, nursing students are required to maintain a certain GPA, which in most cases is well above a 2.6. Therefore, if I were you, I’d also consider EMT training, as MrInformed mentioned previously, just to be on the safe side.

I searched the pass rates for the RN License per school.

The pass rate for Glendale is around 88 (94 people took the test)
The pass rate for Pasadena is around 90 (110 people took the test)

Both of those figures are pretty good. Try visiting the schools and get a feel for the area and the school and decide which one that you would like to get into. If you take the prerequisites work hard and apply for the program you will do fine.

I do not recommend EMT training if that is not what you are interested in. Just be aware that it will likely take more than two years because of wait lists.

Visit them for yourself because you might not feel the same about them as everyone else. Maybe ask friends that go there and graduated from ur hs last yr or before that.
