i was just wondering, since all the ivies and some top schools' decisions come out either 3/31 or 4/1, which schools would you check first? your reaches or your matches or your safeties?

Reaches, of course! That way I can get the rejections out of the way, and end my day with good news. Unless, of course, my safeties/matches reject or waitlist me, too, in which case my plan would turn out to be quite the epic fail.

I only have two real decisions left.

Harvard first, because I care less and can take classes there no matter what.
Yale last-ish because it’s fitting.
If I get rejected from both, I’ll go open up my Swat and Dartmouth decisions, which will then be official, to cheer myself up. I guess I’d have to open my Dartmouth decision definitely.

Harvard.

Columbia.

The end. :)

I think:
Cornell (because it’s most likely out of the four Ivies I applied to) –>Yale –>Harvard –>UPenn. Penn’s my top choice.

You should start with Reaches first.

If you start with your safeties first, you would be CRUSHED to find that somehow you had been rejected by your safety.

Princeton then Brown. Those are the decisions I will get last.

I can’t wait for Brown admissions to come out =).

Cornell first.

I’m probably going to open up all the status pages in different browser tabs and have them all load at the same time, then check them in the order they load. At that point, it won’t matter when I check because I won’t be able to change the decision anyway.

Schools like Princeton I’ll open first. That way since rejection is pretty likely, I’ll get numbed to it, so when I read the matches/acceptances I’ll feel fine.

In whatever order they appear, to be honest.

I have an activity for NHS the day of decisions. I think Princeton for me will come at 5PM and Brown will come at 7PM. Gonna have to wait until I get home -_-

^I’m skipping ballet/trading days just so I don’t have to wait.

I got the email from Brown about the website to check the decision, but Princeton never sent one. Do you know if there is a website or is it by mail only?

You’re lucky! Sadly, I need the NHS points so I can graduate with NHS on my diploma/wear the thing to graduation. :-P

For Princeton, decisions are posted via our online accounts.

Wait, were we supposed to receive something from Princeton about checking decisions?

I really wish that my safeties came after my privates/reaches!!! No I’m only left with my reaches:(

dont really care… i just check as they come
