Double
Double
If you are super extroverted, can sleep through anything, and are planning to do hw anywhere but your room, then it doesn’t matter. Anyone else - double. Or single. ;-).
At first I thought you meant double/triple/quad as in majors lmao.
Double, triple/quad becomes real messy real soon.
Double. There are a number of quads on my floor and they get along remarkably well, but they do tend to be pretty loud and there are sometimes issues with sleep schedules, sexiling, etc.
Assuming there’s no financial reason to pick one over the others, double. There are fewer people to coordinate that way.
I was in a triple, and while I got by it got very annoying when two of us had similar sleep schedules, and the third had an essentially opposite sleep schedule. So when she’d come in late at night she’d wake us up, and when we got up to get ready for class we’d wake her up. If finances hadn’t been an issue, I would’ve much preferred a double for that reason; it ended up creating a lot of conflict between the two of us with similar schedules and the roommate with the opposite schedule.
I’m going to be an odd one out here and say either double or quad. Triples make it a lot easier for two of the people to become friends, leaving the other one sort of left out. With a quad there are more options for simply coexisting or having everyone friendly with at least one of the others. With a double you can choose to be friends or choose to just coexist. Be warned though, with a quad it is almost impossible to have the room to yourself and you have to be able to sleep through almost anything (I just happen to be able to fall asleep with the lights on and people making noise as long as nobody is talking). I live in a quad in a building that also has doubles and triples. I think the people in doubles really seem the happiest with their arrangement. Triples can cause weird tensions.
