<p>Jester and the honors dorms are high in demand but there’s usually room even if you sign up late.</p>
<p>Which dorms are the best for studying – Duren and San Jac or honors?</p>
<p>They’re all going to be fine. All 3 are pretty quiet because they’re isolated and don’t have the hall traffic of the other dorms. He would be fine in any one of them.</p>
<p>But if you haven’t applied for Duren or San Jac by now they will be full.</p>
<p>He put San Jac and Duren as 2nd and third choices. I thought that housing didn’t look at the choices until July 1, and then put the students in order of priority based on the deposit date. I just that was the case, since students can change their housing choices until July 1. His first choice has been honors since day one, so maybe he should just leave it at that.</p>
<p>cpq - That is how it works; they’ll look at the dorm choices for those with contracts shortly after July 1 and your priority will be based on when the initial deposit was made.</p>
<p>Too bad I can’t go back and edit that post… guess I hadn’t had enough coffee when I posted.</p>
