Which Florida school would you have gone to if you had not been accepted to UF?

Just wondering what you all think is the #2 in the state....

Depends on the major and financial aid.

Fsu >>>>> ucf > usf >>> fau >> fiu >>> unf > uwf >>>>>> famu > fgcu

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SUSF

I tend to agree FSU is superior to UCF, although that always starts a contentious debate.

UF is #2 for me and quite a few other people I know. I was accepted to UF yet opted for FSU for all sorts of reasons but mainly because it was much cheaper for me. lol

I would pick FSU for all majors except engineering (where I would pick UCF instead).

I agree. Being in engineering I would have gone to UCF over FSU had UF not been an option.

Considering the only other school I applied at was UM, that.

Last year FSU Engineering was 94th overall and UCF Engineering was 80th overall.

Really not that big of a difference.

except that fsu’s engineering campus is not on campus, from what ive heard it seems like a hassle…they have joint with some other school, Famu maybe.

id rather go to UCF an equally as good school

(google Fsu engineering and you get FAMU-FSU engineering)

“id rather go to UCF an equally as good school”

Yes, in engineering you are right. But none of the other programs.

I chose FSU engineering over UCF engineering.
I gave all my reasons in a previous post.
Mostly because I wanted a real college experience.

“Mostly because I wanted a real college experience.”

That is a good reason in my opinion. No one can ever say that FSU is a commuter school, and does provide the traditional college experience. In addition, FSU is a darn good school and is UF’s top competitor. University of Miami gets mostly out-of-state kids anyway.

i guess tapout has a point there, ucf is wins the prize for commuter-ness

By the way, I got into UM also.
Chose not to there either.
Not worth the $25K per year I would have to pay for an engineering degree.
Anyhow, I could always do my Masters at some prestigious school If I felt I needed it.
