Which Freshman Dorm?

What are the best freshman dorms? Female incoming freshman wants to be in a good location with best facilities. Any advice?

In my opinion:

Clemson House (co-ed)

Shoeboxes (for girls, Young)

Johnstone (co-ed)

High Rises (for girls, Lever and Manning)

Why is Clemson House best? It doesn’t seem like it’s in the best location.

The Shoeboxes and Johnstone are definitely in a better location (Shoeboxes>Johnstone in quality which is why I put Young in front). However, Clemson House has by far the best dorm for incoming freshman. It was an upperclassmen dorm last year and everyone wasn’t happy that they took one of the best upperclassmen dorms and converted it to a freshman dorm. Everyone gets their own bathroom instead of communal bathrooms, if you are in an apartment, you get a kitchen so it’s a lot nicer than the regular dorms. It’s not in as good of a location as the Shoeboxes but the location from everything is about the same distance as from the High Rises and everything really isn’t that much farther from Clemson House. Campus isn’t that big. Oh, and there’s also a dining hall inside of Clemson House and a barber shop.

Awesome, thank you, really big help.

We can change our preferred dorm and roommate later right? I was thinking about maybe checking out the dorms a little in June for orientation.

FYI if you change your preferred dorm after May 1st, you may get bumped down to the bottom of the list. I changed my housing choices after May 1st last year and I ended up with a choice I didn’t even select (it’s an upperclassmen apartment so I’m not complaining) but I’m just letting you know that it can happen.

Ok thanks.
