<p>The 33...but you should take the SAT again because it seems like you could eventually get a 2180 if you just work on writing (raise it to a 700)</p>
<p>a 33 on the ACT is like a 1470 on the old SAT, or, in other words, almost exactly the same as your 1480 (math + reading) on the new SAT. </p>
<p>There's no good way to compare an ACT to a new SAT, but my guess is that most colleges will think of a 33 ACT as similar to a 2200 SAT. </p>
<p>I agree with sr662 that you could study some grammar and improve your score on either test. You're lucky that grammar is your weakness--anyone on this board will tell you it's the easiest section to improve.</p>
<p>whoa that's really weird... i got the exact same scores. not in each part, but my composites are the same. and about the comparison, i also found that a 33 ACT is about 1470 on the old SAT, and my counselor told me that 2100 on the new SAT is like a 1400, so the ACT score is a bit better.</p>
