Which is better for IR? Toronto, UBC, or GWU?

Like it says in the title...which school is better for International Relations?

The things I love about UBC or Toronto is that they are recognized globally as great schools SO that's a plus for "international" relations just like that! and so on...

Also, they are located in great cities and the tuition is SO MUCH cheaper! (than GWU)

The thing I love about GWU is...it's in america because in the long run I want to work in the US (I am Korean citizen...hopefully I can get US citizenship somehow) and it's in WASHINGTON DC...a GREAT place for IR networks, etc.

However, GWU is so expensive! over 40,000 in tuition and that just seems too much to pay for when Toronto or UBC have good IR programs too! But I am not sure...about any of this!

Is GWU worth the money? Is Toronto/UBC better? How do they compare for tuition value, networks/internships, future, location, academics, reputation, or ANYTHING!

Please tell me things I should know about for these three schools...and please RECOMMEND ME MORE! :)

UofT and UBC are well recognized in the US among employers and universities, particularly Toronto which is a member of the Association of American Universities, a group of the top research universities in the US + UofT and McGill (GWU is not a member). In terms of international prestige GWU is probably the lowest of the three. Living in Washington would be a big plus but in my opinion it really isn’t worth the extra tuition costs.

McGill would be another school I would recommend for IR.

If you were an American, or if you were equally interested in living in Canada, I think that Toronto and other Canadian schools would be fantastic choices.

But, if you’re choosing to come to North America because you want to immigrate, it seems like being in the country you want to immigrate to would be key. In order to immigrate, as I understand it, you’ll need to form enough of a relationship with someone for them to want to either marry you or sponsor you as an employer. I think those relationships would be harder to find from outside of the country.
