ok so basically there is apartment style housing at the college I'll be attending next year. You could either have 1 roommate or 2-4 roommates, depends on which room you are in. My questions is, do you think its easier in terms of cooperation, agreement, compatibility, etc. to have the least or most amount of roommates. :)

I had five roommates and it ended up with broken windows and cops.

Try to stay away from triples because it usually ends up 2 against 1 and you do not one to be that 1. Go for a double (1st choice) or a quad (2nd choice).

It depends on who the other roommates are. I liked my living arrangements after freshmen year, only because I had a forced triple.

More people = more room = less fights

i live in a 4 person apartment. im the only one that cleans up after myself. the place is a freakin mess and smells like trash.

Four so there’s a better chance I’ll befriend atleast one of them

I would rather have a quad than a double personally. It just seems like it would be more fun and more interesting.

I always thought the same. I mean I wouldn’t want to have one roomate and not get along/ rarely conversate. I think it would be better to have 2 roomates you conversate with, 1 you don’t get along with than just 1 roomate; and you don’t get along. Though I guess you can always switch roommates if you don’t get along with each other, and switch to triple or some sort.

Also, triple could lead to 2 against 1… which wouldn’t be good for that 1 in most cases.
