I got a D in Algebra 2 and that was with daily tutoring and extra help - just barely passed it. My school says I must take Chem (no option of Physical Science) to graduate. I’m terrified because Algebra 2 was so hard. Is Chemistry easier than Algebra 2?
The answer will vary based on things like an individual’s particular aptitudes/abilities, the teacher etc.
I believe that Chemistry is easier than Algebra 2, and I don’t enjoy science. The concepts can be quite in-depth, but as long as your teacher is good, Chemistry should be smoother than Algebra 2.
I don’t really think they’re comparable. Chemistry is a science, Algebra II is a math. Unless you’re taking AP Chem, I don’t think your chem class will be very math-heavy at all, and it should be pretty basic math if anything. Chemistry is more conceptual than Algebra II, so that might be more difficult for you. It really depends on the person.
Study and go in for extra help and you will be fine.
