okay soo my precal teacher just told me today to only take 2 ap classes..not three.
shes like dont do an ap math and an ap science in the year. (im going to be a senior).
whats your take on it?
i want to major in something in the humanities--i also like foreign policy, international relations

which ap should i take? the ap science or the ap math?
i will take ap english lit

also this year i took 3 aps (history, english lang, physics b)

let me rephrase: instead of more important…what would look better when applying to an ivy league institution if my major is history/along those lines?

Eh, you don’t have listen to your precalc teacher. Take as many APs as you think you’re capable of doing, without sacrificing your grades and ability to learn.

Take a look at the Ivies you are planning to apply to and a) see which if any SAT subject tests they require (AP can be a good prep for these tests) and b) look at which if any AP’s they give credit or placement for.

Keep in mind that the Ivies and other top schools like to see that you have taken the most difficult courses offered at your high school.

but the way it is in my school is that you cant go to ap calc unless the really really difficult stereotypical hard-core asian calc teacher (whose my precal teacher) recommends you.
she said that she will NOT recommend me to ap calc if she sees that im taking ap biology -_-
