Which major should I apply to?

My CSU Gpa is 3.13, my SAT score is 1090, and my ACT score is 24. I am applying to SFSU, SJSU, SDSU, CSU Chico, CSU East Bay, CSU Stanislaus, and Sacramento State, for business. Which major in business will get me the highest chance of acceptance to these schools, between Information Systems, Management Information Systems and Management?
Thanks

Are you local for any of these schools?

Based on your posted stats, your Eligibility index will keep you out of SDSU regardless of major. Your EI with the ACT is better so with conversion, your EI is 3724.

EI for SDSU 4200+ needed

Chico state is borderline but none of these majors are impacted.

Several options for SJSU. See link:

For Sac State, all business majors are impacted so you would need to take the required courses before declaring a business major.

For the rest of the schools, pick which major you would prefer since East Bay, SFSU and Stanislaus are not impacted.

+Gumbymom Would I have a better chance at CSULB than SDSU?

Your EI is most likely too low for CSULB also unless you are local. You really have no chance at SDSU. The lowest EI I saw in the last few years was a 3900 from a local SD applicant.

i think your list is fine. You are likely to be admitted to most of them. SDSU and CSULB will be reaches but, they are worth an ap. As for your major question, it won’t really matter which Biz concentration you choose. Only SJSU slices things that finely. Most of the CSUs now use a pre-major designation for the most popular ones on their campus. The threshold is usually very meet-able - typically a set of classes with a floor GPA. If you can’t meet it, you probably don’t belong in the major. So - pick the one you want to study… odds are you will change it after a couple of semesters anyhow.

You might want to add Sonoma to you list.

Good luck.
