I love all of these clubs but can only handle about 2 or 3. Which of these clubs do you think will stand out most to colleges?

Investors Club
-Challenged Athletes Club

Dory Club (Dementia Research)
-Interact Club (Community Service)

Math Club

Literature Club

Truth Be Told Club (Religious)

If you’re going to be in it for the sake of the app, then you’re doing it wrong and shouldn’t bother with any of them. If anything, you should choose a club you can excel in, and which allows you to accomplish something by being a member, because you’re driven to do so. It doesn’t matter to colleges if all you do is show up to a club with a fancy name.

I would say pick the club(s) that YOU truly enjoy doing, don’t join a club just so it looks good on college applications. When it comes to writing your personal statement (if you have to), you could state in there that you really enjoyed this club or that club, so it’s not about quantity of clubs, it’s quality, how long you have been in that club and how much you got involved in it and how it has shaped your life style and others.

I think some of you aren’t understanding the question. HE/SHE LIKES ALL OF THE CLUBS. He/She just wants to know which ones will be the best use of his/her time.

Service-oriented clubs and those in which you have unique opportunities (like the one related to research) are likely your best bets. Others that are recognized honor societies are good to be involved in as well. Remember that some clubs may not have as much as a time commitment as others, so you could potentially be involved in several clubs, and be more involved (leadership positions) in one or two.
