Which of these is most impressive in YOUR eyes? 800 math, 800 cr, or 800 writing

Keep in mind, the question was which was the most impressive, not difficult.

in CR
math is pretty easy for me (got a 770) and writing isn’t that hard nor does it have much value as compared to CR

800 CR no contest

Writing depends on nothing but your knowledge of grammar and mastering the elementary 5 paragraph essay. I know several people (myself included) who have scored an 800 on writing.

Scoring an 800 on Math is impressive I suppose because if you make even one silly mistake you instantly lose 20 or 30 points. However, the problems themselves aren’t very difficult and I believe many people could score an 800 if they had sufficient time to check their answers.

CR, however, requires true skill. In order to do well, on the Critical Reading section you have to be perceptive and have amazing analytical skills. That’s why it’s so difficult to improve in. I have even read in college planning books that CR is the most important section in the view of admissions officers.

800 CR hands down.

I would normally say 800 CR is the hardest. 800 math would be easiest. 800 writing is in the middle. But when I took the real SAT, i got a 800 on CR, 780 on writing, a 770 on math. ■■■…so close to a 2400 =(

All of them are not too hard but…I’d have to say writing would be the most difficult. In my opinion anyways. I nailed the 800 Math and CR my first time around and received a 690 on writing…but it’s easy to study for that section. Got an 800 writing with perfect MC and 12 essay on the march SAT, so I guess it’s all about knowing the tricks.

800 W definitely. The essay grading is so subjective which makes it even harder.

800 W is most impressive for me because I suck at grammar.

800 CR definitely. hands down. followed by writing, lastly math.

800 W because it’s the only section i don’t have a 800 in haha
and also because essay is killer imo

Is it sad that I thought both M and CR were jokes (800 each) but did badly on W (2 MC from 2400…)?

Then again, I’m historically bad at W (SSAT and PSAT)…and SAT II English Lit made CR a joke.

800 cr for sure!

Writing since it’s more than just ONE correct answer. If you got a 12 on the essay, that means you impressed someone other than the scantron machine. (This is assuming that graders aren’t subjective and stupid… which they are lol)

Multiple-choice-wise: CR hands down!

I personally think getting a 12 on the writing part is possible. If you want to know what writing resources I use to get that of a score, pm me.

800 CR. The Vocab is killer, and the passages are not the easy either.

800 W I think depends on luck. It’s very easy to make careless errors and the questions can be tricky. But if you manage to get all MC correct you usually only need a 9 on the essay to get 800.

800 Math is really easy, especially for logical people. Both tests I missed 2 questions, but only due to careless errors. But there’s usually few minutes left for checking, so if you finish up fast it’s very possible to achieve 800.

800 CR is definitely the hardest, to me. I easily got an 800 W from persistent practice, and I’ve always been a good math student although I did not get 800 M on my first try :frowning: . Like ryanxing said above, careless mistakes hurt. To most people who were not voracious readers earlier or currently, I think that CR is the hardest section for them.

Yes. I would say that careless mistake is the main killer of my score on math and writing. I don’t even want to go the Critical Reading cause it’s usually careless mistake+getting owned on the questions that kills me overall!! =[

I would’ve said writing before, but now I’d have to say CR. That’s because i jumped 60 in writing with just a bit of practice, and fell 90 in CR from the PSAT (from 80).

I haven’t read a book for fun since 8th Grade. Now I’m a junior.
I have a 630 CR, but 800s in W and M.

Obviously CR is impossible…

I got 800 in CR and W relatively easy no studying. Math I worked through every single practice test to break 700 so I admire math those with 800s in math the most.
