Maybe 800M since it has the harshest curve. For the others, I think if you know what you are doing it will be easier.

Having taught since 1989, I can safely say that CR is most impressive. W is easy to prep for (and given less weight by colleges), and, well, Math is math…

Stats definitely support my position, too. There are FAR fewer 800s in CR than in either of the other two sections. It’s also by far the hardest for non-native speakers, which includes the vast majority of internationals.

800 cr is almost impossible

800 CR, definitely. An 800 in Math is pretty easy as long as you’re careful, and an 800 in Writing depends on who grades your essay and how they personally react to it. With the CR, it’s hard to memorize every vocab word and interpret every passage correctly.

CR might be the most impressive, but it has a generous curve. I think I have 800 CR. But I’ll find out for sure on the 22nd, I suppose…

Easy question: 800 CR

I would say that 800 critical reading. With the math and writing sections, it is usually easy stuff that is morphed to look hard and confuse you. The math level, if broken down to each component isn’t really that bad, it’s just putting it together. The writing also, we’ve known grammar decently and should be able to figure it out if we ignore many irrelevant things in the sentences. Critical reading, you must know words that, quite honestly, I didn’t know existed until I took the SATs Saturday. Sometimes I was able to guess it right just based off of what the word looked like (I got minutiae right yes! :D) but there were definitely others that I got, not because I didn’t understand the sentence or the passage, just the words themselves were above and beyond my vocabulary. If you know every word in the SAT cudos to you. (plus math is my best subject, then writing, then cr).

nope math to me is more impressive. I got a 680 in math but CR i got a 790 and W i got a 690. if you get an 800 in math that to me is an impressive amount of work because i find the others relatively easy

oh course critical reading!!! >.>

My son received an 800 in CR, an 800 in writing, and a 700 in math.

To me, an 800 in math would be the most impressive.

@floridadad55 - I’m like your son!

First SAT:
800 CR, 760 W, 700 M

Second SAT:
800 CR, 790 W, 690 M

The funny/horrible thing is, I’m actually good at math in school. And I studied like crazy. I love to read, and read a lot as a kid. High School IB program is killing my time/willingness to read.

I would say 800 Math is the hardest, as I can get a 760 on practice tests, but not on the real one. Nerves suck.

To those who say the CR is biased towards “people who read a lot”, what? That’s not a bias

Let me just settle this once and for all. They are all impressive, just get all three!
