800 CR…800 M is actually very easy…

ahh I get 800s in CR and WR without even trying, and I haven’t yet broken 600 in math. I mean, I haven’t taken Algebra 2 or Geometry yet, but it’s still discouraging and appalling and… rather embarrassing. How do you people get so good at math?

800 CR obviously! The other two are coachable, but CR requires a VERY sophisticated reading ability that is VERY VERY VERY RARE AND I AM SO MAD THAT I DON’T HAVE IT.

800 CR impresses me the most. I personally think it’s the hardest section.

I think 800M. I have never been able to break the 700 barrier for math and it’s mostly due to the last section. By the time I begin that section, I am already exhausted!

800 CR and it’s not even close for me. i got a 770 on the math section twice–i made one measly careless mistake both times. i got a 770 on writing even though i only missed 1 question. again, i shouldn’t have missed it. the essay i got a 9 on, which was bad.

CR though i’ve only ever managed a 720. anyone who gets an 800 on the CR has my praise =)

it wasn’t even the vocab that messed me up; vocab is easily prepared for with good vocab cards.

i missed 1 vocab and 4 multiple choice.

I agree with the majority; CR is the most impressive.

Hi guys, I need URGENT HELP!
I’m an international student (Croatia). I took SAT I once and I got 1710 (cr480, ma690, wr540). I have this last chance now in January, and I doubt between taking SAT I or SAT II.
I need your advice. What do you think will the Admission Officers consider better?

1.) SAT I 1710 and 3 SAT II 700+ or
2.) SAT I 1900

I’m applying to Villanova, Macalester, Oberlin, Lafayette, Lehigh, Colgate, Gettysburg, Trinity University, St. Olaf.
Also my GPA 4.0, strong EC’s, 10% of class, need financial aid.

^
Definitely retake the SAT I. I got such scores too so I think that retaking SAT I to at least a 2000 is a must. You may take the SAT II before/after the SAT I but you may not deal up with a 1700 reality.

“Basically, you’re much better off getting 600/800 than 700/700…” (from waaaay back in this thread)

Ruh-roh. DS scored 690/700/710 – basically the same across the board. I still think he should retake in Jan, but DH disagrees, and so does DS!

He scored 800 in Latin SAT II, though – does that count? Apparently he knows his Latin vocab better than his English, LOL…although he does have a good Eng vocabulary, and he used to do all those Wordly Wise books and stuff. Oh well. At this point in the game, I guess, it is what it is.

800 CR by FAR! I have 800’s in writing and math, but I can’t ever get to 800 in CR!! The passages are so hard!

I only know of 1 person to get an 800 in CR, and she’s the smartest girl I’ve ever met.

None of the 3 is more impressive then the other in my eyes. CR is actually pretty easy if you really think about the passages and questions, and writing is easy to get an 800 if you score very high on the essay. Math, you never get difficult questions so it’s just a matter of not making a stupid mistake.

CR was my easiest 800, then writing. I got a couple 800 math on practice tests but wasn’t able to pull it off on the real thing. But amongst my peers I would be most impressed by 800 CR.

800 CR, I always thought the passages and the questions were somewhat tricky.

800 CR. The vocab is pretty easy, but the passage questions are so confusing and ambiguous D:.

800 Writing is a joke.

I would say 800 Writing. Math is DEFINITELY far from being the hardest and Critical Reading is just basic preparation. For me, writing is more difficult because you can never foretell the vocabulary they throw at you. But that’s just me :)

800 CR. that’s my DREAM score. my best score is only 700

Well, for an asian guy I’d be most impressed by a 800 CR.

For a white female, I’d be most impressed by 800 Math

Stereotypes ftw. It’s true lol

Auctioning off two 800 CRs! For the low, low price of one 800 math!!

Sigh :-/

would colleges be so impressed by a CR 800 that they would over look a M 700 and W 670 :P
