Seven of those aren’t races, silly.

You’ve got apples, oranges and bananas listed. I already told you in your other post that students with Portuguese backgrounds are not considered Hispanic for college admissions.

Here’s a discussion about the difference between race and ethnicity:

[Concepts of Diversity](http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/med/research/csri/ethnicityhealth/aspects_diversity/concepts/)

Several of the categories you’ve listed are Nationalities/country of origin, they are neither races or ethnicities.

There is no need to distinguish Asian and Asian-American as Intl. applicants are not considered URMs, no matter what their race or ethnicity.

Please read the OPs of the Race FAQ sticky thread for accurate information on URMs and college admissions. Also, under Specialty Topics, there are subforums for AA and Hispanic students, there is likely information on them that would assist you further.

I believe your ethnic background is Indian (South Asian) and Portuguese. There’s no amount of twisting or appealing that will make this into any URM category.

I get that you’re trying to apply to very selective programs and are searching for any advantage – OK. But you’ve exhausted this avenue. Time for you to move on. Really.
