BC or georgetown?

I posted on both to hear about the positive and negatives about each school. I ask in terms of academics, party scene, and quality of life.

Georgetown def.

Bc! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Georgetown..... mos def!!!

I'd say
Academics: Depends on which program.
Party Scene: BC is really big on this, don't know about Georgetown
Quality of Life: if you're comparing cities, I'd saw BC gets this one. BC is at Chestnut Hills, so while you are right next to big-city feel of Boston, you still don't get overwhelmed by the city culture since it isn't located right in Boston like BU. Georgetown campus itself is wonderful, but I didn't like DC at all.

Academics: depends which major; BC for business/liberal arts; Georgetown if you want to do Govt type of work or foreign service, etc. GT seems to have more of a "name" - not sure if that's good (employment) or bad (resting on laurels?)

Social: I'd pick BC; people seemed less snobby and more "real", more work hard/play hard, Boston a HUGE college town; good m/f ratio

Q of L: BC - campus is 100x better than GT; near city but not right in it. Buildings are well maintained/kept new; awesome sports scene

I'm in the same boat. I'm going back and forth.

I agree that the BC campus is much nicer. But there is a lot more to do in the Georgetown neighborhood than Chestnut Hill which is basically just big old mansions. Then again, there is a subway stop on BC's campus for getting into central Boston.

But I think the main difference is going to be the academics. Georgetown SFS can't be beat, but BC's sciences and humanities are much stronger. So once I decide on a major, I think I'll have an answer.
