Which ones are NOT "party schools"??

I don't particularly want to get wasted or anything, but at the same time I don't want to seem nerdish by refusing to go every time :( Any ideas which schools are less party-oriented?? I'd like to mainly know about the major universities and LACs, btw.

No one??..bump

All schools have a party scene sadly :/

Unless you go to a super conservative, religious school (like BYU/Liberty/Pensacola Christian), there’s going to be somewhat of a party scene. If the school is pretty big or it’s near a city, you can do other things. If you’re out in the country, that may very well be the only thing to do on a weekend night.

Tufts doesn’t exactly have a raging party scene.

Probably the ones in urban setting, and colleges were most of the students commute.

I agree with @LegendaryC. I attend a commuter school and live on campus. Weekends are pretty empty and quiet here. If there’s a party going on, it’s usually in the apts nearby (where many students commute from) or it’s a very small gathering with drinks and whatnot.

Why would you deliberately seek out a school with no parties? You can just lock yourself in your room in any school.

What I meant wasn’t a school with no parties at all, but where you don’t get wasted every day of the week or something  I mean, weekend parties are perfectly fine with me, but a general mood where everyone goes on a binge and doesn’t show up for class is a bit frightening, you know??

^Well, there aren’t a whole lot of schools like that, not good ones anyway. People do have to do at least somewhat well in their classes in order to stay in school, lol.

Just DON’T go to Florida or Ohio State or Ole Miss or anything like that…

I think we can safely assume that most college students, no matter where they go for school, don’t get wasted every night of the week. Even at a school with a big party scene, you won’t seem “nerdish” by refusing to go, and besides, going out doesn’t entail getting wasted.

Do you…do you want us to list every school without a raging party scene?

I went to Bryn Mawr and most weekends I would have had to go out of my way to find a party. I was unaware of a single party most weekends, actually. I remember being shocked when I walked across Haverford’s campus on a Friday night and there was loud music coming out of every other student residence.

Well I guess people DO study at times… but I just wanted to know what schools were more moderate in partying. I guess it would be impossible to talk about every school, so how about like the top 15 universities and LACs then?? Any ideas??
