Hey guys! I am just wondering which Physics course I should take for my senior year. I want to remain competitive but not overwhelm myself Senior year. Anyways, I am considering whether or not to take Honors Physics or Advanced Honors Physics. My counselor suggested taking Honors Physics as opposed to Advanced Honors Physics per my course load. Does it really matter in college admissions if I took honors vs. adv honors???
for info heres my schedule:
-ap bio
-ap econ
-hon calc
-hon eng
-hon physics/adv hon physics
(adv hon is weighted higher than honors at my school)
honors physics is not as math intensive as adv honors physics in a way. and i want to potentially major in Bio or cognitive science on a pre-med track.
Pre-meds will have to take physics in college, so it is best to have a physics course in high school.
More math may make physics easier to understand, if you know that needed math and are good at it. However, being able to use more math may allow the course to include more difficult material. But having learned more difficult material in high school may be to your advantage when you take physics in college.
