Which Rez - single, private bathroom

i got accepted to mcgill commerce and now im looking at rez choices.

which rez has single rooms with private bathrooms?
thanks

^^^No such thing at McGill or pretty much any North American university. Upper Rez and RVC are mostly single rooms with communal bathrooms for the floor. New Rez and CF are double rooms with a private bathroom for the two room occupants.

The only solution that you have if you want to be alone and with private bathroonm is to find a room outside the campus in Montreal. The good thing is that sometimes if you find a good deal it could be cheeper than going in the campus an paid for $8000 per year. The only bad thing is that you will have to walk to go to class but if you find something good really near the Campus that could be great ! Good luck

I think that Greenbriar has some singles (studios) in which you get your own bathroom. They are directly across the street from campus. There aren’t a lot of them, and some people claim that the nature of Greenbriar makes it less social.

yea i heard of greenbar, but some ppl that know about it tell me the same thing, that its not social etc…

so apart from that, i think carrefoour will be my first choice since i can have my own room

^^CF is double rooms.

This is what is sayd about Carrefour in the ‘Life on Rez’ handbook on their site.

Carrefour Sherbrooke:'

“Single and double occupancy rooms with
private bathrooms.”

Greenbriar is set up like your own private apartment if you have a single (I’m not sure if there are doubles there?). So that’s your best bet.

I guess CF does have some singles but they would be few. Remember that you may not get your first or even second choice of room.

Both New Rez and C4 have single rooms with private bathrooms.

However, in both cases, these rooms are reserved for scholarship winners.

Adding to the above post, there are two scholarships you can get when accepted to Mcgill.
One is automatically given to you if you meet their requirements, and for the other one you have to send an application.

Only those that get the latter one are given the ‘privilege’ of getting single rooms (with private bathroom) in the hotel residences.
