hello! unfortunately, i am overseas right now (and used my permanent address in the states) for the next two weeks and i am expecting to hear back from some schools...however, i have no idea which ones notify by email and which ones don't. does anyone have any idea?
i figure the emails should all come at the same time for everyone...

thanks!!!

ps being away at this time was definitely not planned! i'm losing sleep over this at this point...

NEC only sends postal mail decisions here in the States. Don't know about international, but could be a bit of a wait for you! Maybe you could call them, and explain your location and they would give you the decision over the phone?

Valentina, my D was accepted at NYU for music. We received the Steinhardt welcome card a week ago and the package came by mail Thursday. To my knowledge there was no email.

Some schools WILL give results on the phone.

I was supposed to receive a decision from one of my schools last week, but I didn't hear anything, so I called the admissions office yesterday to ask about it. The person I talked to said she wasn't allowed to give me the information, but less than an hour later I got a phone call from the dean =]

I don't know if your schools will do the same, but there's really no harm in trying.

You can check the acceptance thread to see which have sent acceptances for a given instrument. I believe most are snail mail. A few indicated they received emails or phone calls. Some of the schools (Rice and Northwestern) will allow you to check your admission status online.
