Which schools, when to start, what to do...?

So I want to start making a list of all of the integrated med programs that I'm going to apply to in the fall. There's so many programs to choose from and I'd like to apply to around 15 schools so I actually get into a few places and have the option of deciding where to go. How were you able to cut down your list of integrated programs and narrow in on the list of places you want to apply to? Any recommendations of where I should apply and may have a chance of getting in? My final list needs to be balanced between low-tier, mid-tier and reach schools for sure. Thanks!

Here are some of my stats:

Academics:

GPA - Weighted: ~4.1 or 4.2 (My school severely limits the number of APs we can take so 1 in 10th, 2-3 in 11th, 2-3 in 12th...I'm going to have a total of only 6 APs)
Class Rank: top 10%

That's pretty much it! :)
ANY AND ALL ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
About the college app process, when to start essays, what to definitely do (random little things you learned while applying), what NOT to do, etc.

The top tier is probably brown, northwestern, and rice/Baylor.
Below that is Case, BU, Miami
After that UConn, Stonybrook, lots of others
Maybe Drexel and Umdnj near the bottom.

I would apply to all the top programs you would go to, any instate ones, and a few easy ones. Make sure you can articulate why medicine is right for you and how you know so early on in your essays and interviews.
