Which Schools Will She Get Into?

My daughter has relatively high SATs 2030 (including 720 writing), low GPA 3.1 or 3.2, and has been in and out of honors classes throughout high school. She is a very good musician but says she doesn't want to major in music but "music management/music industry " instead. We're looking at JMU, Northeastern, Syracuse, Drexel, NYU, Delaware and Univ. Hartford because they either have it has a major or a minor. Her concert band is extremely high caliber having won the highest possible honors in the State and all along the East Coast. They play very difficult and sophisticated music.

Will she even get into these schools with her grades and SATs? Is it even worth applying to NYU? What about the Bandier Program at Syracuse? From looking at their website, it seems Northeaster doesn't even offer an undergraduate option in music management or music industry studies.

We have no idea what these schools are looking for... Can anybody give us more info on the programs at these schools? We like Syracuse the best...

I would bet she will get into jmu

Another school you might want to look into is the Berklee School of Music. They require an audition to get in, however you can major in music management there. You will take classes both at Berklee and Northeastern. I’m not sure how hard it is to get into, but its definitely something to look into!
