Which score should I send with my SAT/ACT scores

I’m a junior now, if I don’t take those tests again, please advise which score I should send(if I have score choice):
SAT:2200 M800, CR720, W680, Essay 8
ACT:35 M36, S36, R34, E32, Essay 7, English with writing: 28
Essay score is low in both. Thanks!

In a situation like yours, where you have two high scores that are close to each other, you should consider sending both, regardless of the essay score. What colleges do when you send both is choose the test they believe is better for you and use it to determine admission.

35 is technically “better” than 2200, but you have good scores on both. The Writing appears to be weaker on SAT, so I would send ACT.

Send both!

ACT is an achievement test while the SAT is an aptitude test. Show colleges that you achieved and that you can achieve in the future.

Thanks, my concerns are,
If send both, it could show that I can’t write a good essay given 2 opportunities.
If send only ACT, the English plus essay 28 doesn’t look good. (Worse than SAT W680)

Less weight is given to the combined score for English+Writing

I would advise sending the ACT and not sending the SAT. The SAT simply adds nothing to your application, and a 35 is better than a 2200.
