My son has a 34 ACT or 1550 CR+M? Looking at ACT student concordance it looks like he should probably use his SAT score. Any advice on which would be better from an admissions standpoint?
I went to visit CPSLO a few weeks ago and asked the admissions officer there about this. He said to submit both, even if you did better on one than the other.
I also asked him about CPSLO’s superscoring policy, and he said that they “supersuperscore,” meaning they will pull from both the ACT and the SAT to get the best math and critical reading/English combo possible.
Hopefully this sort of helped answer your question.
Like @ornate said, submit both. They super super score. They only use the Math and English sections of the ACT whether or not you submit both tests.
@eyemgh and @ornate, this is incredibly helpful. His ACT sub sections were: 35 math
36 reading so I will have him submit both SAT & ACT for consideration. Thank you so much for the advice!
They use math and English, but not reading. Unfortunately, that 36 reading score does not matter to SLO.
