I'm a senior applying for freshman admission in '09 and I have a question for all you MIT buffs out there. In the SAT Subject Test section of the application, MIT allows you to submit one math subject test and one science subject test.

My question is whether to use Physics or Chemistry as my science test (I got the same score on both). I am applying as Engineering Undeclared, so does it make a difference or should I just choose one and go?

First instinct is Physics.

Second instinct is use the more recent of the two.

They will be receiving all your scores anyhow, so it is not like they will only have access to the one score that you include on the application.

It doesn't make a difference which score you include.

Q. Which SAT Subject Tests should I take?

A. We do not have a preference. You should take the tests for which you're best prepared and best suited. If you have taken more than one test in a category, we will use the test which makes you look best.

So you can pick randomly, if you want -- it won't make a shred of difference for your application.
