Which Scores Should I send?

<p>I plan on majoring in chemical engineering and am applying to some top engineering schools (Cornell, Carnegie Mellon)</p>

<p>SAT grades are 2090 (690R, 800M, 600W) and 2040 (670R, 760M, 610W)
ACT grade is 34 (29 English, 34 Math, 36 Reading, 36 Science)</p>

<p>Subject Tests:
710 Bio E
740 Chemistry
770 Math I</p>

<p>My guidance counselor told me to just send the ACT but I'm concerned that the ACT math grade is too low. Should I send both or just the ACT?</p>

<p>Just the ACT. SAT Math is mostly a measure of how carefully you can read questions. A 34 in ACT MAth and a SAT Math 800 really doesn’t make a difference. The low CR and writing scores will hurt you more. I suggest that you take Math Level II to show that you have a good math background in addition to your school math grades since you’re applying to engineering.</p>
