So here's my son's situation:

CR: Jan: 590 77% March: 670 92%

Math: 760 98% March: 670 90%

Writing: 630 87% (essay 9) March: 630 87% (essay 8)

Total Score:

March: 1980 June: 1970 Super score: 2060

He is applying to some colleges who say they don't superscore. That would mean they would only consider the January test, but the March one (which is the effect of him getting some tutoring on how to take that section of the test) shows a nice increase in CR. So the question is...for a school that won't consider both scores, would they rather see math and CR be similar, or would the higher math score be better?

My son is undecided but will probably not be going into engineering.

Thanks for any input!
