Which should I take first?

Because of my lack of knowledge and a terrible college counselor I have found myself in a bit of a dilemma. I have only taken the SAT once, and my score was nowhere near where it needs to be. I took it in June and got a 1940 (670 CR 640 W 630 M). I'm an international so the school counselor is more focused on students that want to stay in the country.

I need to get my SAT up to about 2250+. I did some studying over the summer, but not much since I was taking some classes online to open my schedule and doing a full-time internship.

I'm not applying to any school early, so I still have 2 SAT dates. Should I take the SAT first (in October) even though I only have one month to prepare, and the SAT subject tests (taking Math 2 and Lit) in November? Or should I start studying for both the tests now, take the subject tests in october, and the SAT in november?

I have a very tough workload and a very full schedule outside of school as well, so I only have about 1-2 hours a day MAXIMUM to put into this.

Honestly, that’s not a bad score. Of course, if you’re trying to get into an Ivy League school that’s a different story. I would take the subject test and the SAT 1 on different days, it’s really stressful and tiring if you do both on the same day. Don’t stress so much, admissions are not all about test scores.
