Which to Self-Study: Chemistry or Physics B?

I'm going to be a senior and I want to boost my app, but my school doesn't offer many APs, so I have to self-study

I took a regular Chem class and sucessfully self-studied Bio(4) last year, and this year I am taking a regular Physics class

I know my old Chem teacher would be glad to help me if I took the AP chem test, but I think Physics is more interesting and would be better as a prospective math major.

I doubt I will be able to self-study both, but who knows. I didn't think I'd even pass the Bio test. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks!

Chem is reportedly insane to self study for, and Physics B involves no CALC, so that would be my recommendation. I may try to self Chem and Envir in conjunction with my Physics B class this year just to have passed all the Science AP’s so I guess I can keep you posted (since you don’t really have to make a decision for a while).

I’ve been leaning toward Physics, but the Calc shouldn’t be a problem. I’m taking the Calc AB class but most likely selfstudying for the BC test.

Physics B doesn’t use Calculus. Although there are many parts of it where calculus would make it much less time consuming.

If those are your only two options, then I would do chemistry, because physics B is, credit-wise, not worth very much. However, if you have the chance to self-study physics C, I would do that instead.
