Hi I'm a chem major and I need your advice.
Since I might be rescinded from UCLA due to getting a C in one of my major prerequisites, I need to choose another UC for backup.
I can't decide among uci ucsb and ucd..
Which UC do you guys recommend?
Please help me!!!!!!!! :'(

Definitely UCSB.

Source: my cousin did his undergrad for organic chemistry at ucsb and is now doing graduate at Cal. He says ucsb has a great program.

UCI has amazing professors in the chemistry department. I loved taking (O)Chem at UCI. Definitely check out the campus too if you get a chance.

I went to all the campuses already and I really liked them all… thank you for the advice guys! I really appreciate it :-)

I’m completely biased, but out of the three I’d pick UCSB. My ochem professor in community college got his PhD at UCSB and he was easily one of the top 3 professors I’ve ever had including my time at UCLA / UCSD. UCSB’s chem department is really strong, especially for ochem or pchem (I don’t know how anyone can like pchem though). Plus Santa Barbara, IMO, outside of academics has much more to offer than UCI or UC Davis so that’s always something to consider.
