My major is psychology. I still have 30 credits to do so my gpa IS going to be raised but the initial gpa that they will see is the 2.7.
AA-T is for CSU’s. Intended major? Most likely only UC Merced and possibly Riverside depending upon major. Will you have the UC requirements for your major completed for the UC’s since there are differences between CSU’s and UC campuses. Will you have IGETC completed by Spring 2018
Below is a link for UC GPA admit range by major and campus to see if you qualify: https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/transfers-major
psychology. and yes i will have my IGETC completed by spring of 2018
I looked at the UC GPA admit range for Psychology and none of the UC campuses show a UC GPA admit range lower than 2.96 (UC Merced) but UC Merced shows an enrolled UC GPA range as low as 2.55 so it might be worth an application.
UC Riverside’s admit range was 3.09-3.60 while their enrolled range was 2.90-3.40.
In January, you will update the TAU so you can add your Fall semester class grades and maybe you can bump it up to around 2.9 and have a chance at UCR.
I would apply widely and focus on the Cal States especially your Local CSU where you would have priority.
the TAG threshold for Merced in Psych is 2.9 so, i think any UC is going to be a tough admit. Sac and SF are probably good targets.
You should also apply to at least one non-impacted campus/program so you are sure to have a seat somewhere.
Here’s a link to the ever-shrinking list of non-impacted CSUs.
