Hey guys, I am currently attending CCC and majoring in Computer Engineering. By the time I transfer I would have around 120 transferable semester units. I understand the part UC's would only transfer 60 units as major unit and rest would be subject credit. My question is how do UCs decide which 60 units out of the 120 units would transfer as GPA units and which would be subject credit? Would the transfer GPA be based on only the max 60 transfer GPA units or it would be based on the 120 transferable units?

Does it really matter to know which will be given credits towards bachelor’s and which are subject credits? I’m just curious why you are curious about that…

Nonetheless, I believe the first 70 is “visible” on your 4-yr school app, but all of them will be counted anyway…

They set that up so that your bachelor’s degree does not look weird, for instance, $14 trillion units at CC and then only 40 semester units at the UC.

Based on all UC-transferrable units, a.k.a ASSIST-certified courses
