While living in a dorm, can you have visitors (off campus) stay the night in your room???

I'm a freshman going to CSUF next year. Just curious.

Typically yes, unless your school has some crazy policy.

If you have a roommate check with them. Also I hate to ay this, but if you are a female you might have rules against it. From what I’ve noticed all girl dorms have some strict rules. Other than all girl dorms you should be find.

According to this: <a href=“404: File Not Found - Housing and Residential Engagement | CSUF”>404: File Not Found - Housing and Residential Engagement | CSUF;

Although, in practice, you can likely have overnight guests for longer/more frequent periods than that, if your roommates are okay with it.

As long as your roommate is cool with it, usually no one cares. Just don’t announce it to your RA.

Okay guys! Thanks!

@ponylove For the most part yes. You just have to sign them in and I think they have to leave the very next day, but totally depends on your school’s policy.
