White Board (Dry Erase Board), Cork Board or Neither?

cork to pin notes, white board to organize thoughts or wahtever

My hall last year used them as a primary form of communication (the girl’s side at least). It’s good for people who don’t necessarily have your number but need to talk to you. (The RA for ex. or just hallmates.) I once came back from the food court thinking I’d lost my wallet to find that a girl I didn’t really know had written on my board that she’d found it in the bathroom.

Wow, it never even crossed my mind to bring a whiteboard. That’s a smart idea! A cork board isn’t really necessary if you’re going to use a whiteboard, though.

im a guy so i think both are kinda pointless…if ur friends want to leave u a note, throw it under the door or just text you

technology makes everything so accessible

if you want a laugh:

^I went through a period where I would draw dicks on our whiteboard when the situation arose (like someone else wrote “Door” or something, I’d feel obliged to finish the job haha). My suitemate hated that though.

Also, if you think you’re going to be doing math, physics, chem, etc. psets, whiteboard are pretty useful. A lot of the time, people will do a scratch copy of the pset and then rewrite it completely when done. Well, a nice big white board can serve as your scratch paper, or if you’re doing the pset with someone else and want to do it together on the board, or whatever.

Probably something at least 3x3 feet is desirable, or more if you have bigger handwriting. Mine is 5x3 I think.
