Hi, I learned a few weeks ago that I was selected to participate in the President Scholar's Program based on my SAT scores (how the white house got them i don't know). I was looking through the online app, and there are sections to enter lists of
- activities in which you have participated in your school (such as academics, publications, debating, dramatics, sports, music, art, student government, and clubs)
- any special talents (in areas such as music, the arts, sports, published writing or scientific research) that you pursue outside of school
- community activities in which you have participated without pay
- jobs you have held in the past three or four years

This all seems quite comprehensive, but where would I put distinctions from academic competitions like USABO, AIME, Intel, etc (I don't have all of those, just giving examples)? It seems like the most applicable place is "special talents" though it seems somewhat odd to list something like making AIME or recognition in Chemistry Olympiad as a "special talent"... I also did a number of these activities through my school, and they were more or less stand-alone competitions for individuals rather than for teams from a school (much like AMC/AIME/USAMO or USABO), so they're not really club activities.

Also the app is due at the end of the month, so I have 2 weeks to figure this out a put something together :D
